Beautiful peaceful location - overlooking private lake. Also very convenient - next to Tesco Extra and Park and Ride into York. Accommodation of very high standard.

I would totally recommend this holiday to a wide number of people with different interests, the location is fantastic, close enough to all the sites of York, with a park and ride just 5 mins walk away. Sea side resorts are only about an hours drive away. The setting is beautiful, with views from nearly every window from our cottage overlooking the stunning lake. Myself, husband, 3 children and parents all had a thoroughly wonderful time. My husband is a carp fisherman and loved fishing on the lake which was so close to the 3 bedroom cottage we stayed in he could keep coming in for cups of coffee and supplies of food etc. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need. We will definitely return and just can't wait. Thank you York Lakeside Lodges for a totally wonderful time, we only wished we could stay an extra week.

With the beautiful surroundings, it was hard to believe York was just a few miles away. We all used the park and ride at Tesco to get into York because it was less than a five minute walk away, and hopping on a bus was the best way to get into the city centre. The cottage we stayed in was great and had plenty of space for seven adults. We would recommend this destination to anybody who wants to experience York.

A beautiful park with amazing views across a lake. York is only a couple of miles away with the Park and Ride a short walk away which is useful as parking in York is very expensive.

The 7 berth property was well equipped and was excellent value for money. The location means that you can bus ride out and about once there. Our reception from the owner was excellent - very helpful and informative and and they continued to be throughout stay. I would definitely recommend it!

An excellent location for exploring York at a very reasonable cost, and with the park and ride being so close it was easy to get into the town centre!
